Tips for becoming a runner

  1. Do not debate yourself whether to run, just run
  2. 20min is just 1.3% of a day
  3. don't change a bunch of habits at once, it's ok to get up late
  4. it sucks at beginning, you get freedom after a while.
  5. run outside, better find a a loop trail
  6. sign up for an event, it's like the boss in a video game
  7. don't think ahead, it's "practiced stoicism": pain is neither friend or enemy, it's a neighbor
  8. think of running as being an addict but socially acceptable
  9. think of it as asserting control over hurt/torment. not fixing them but owning them.
